リペアカフェは、壊れたモノを持ち込んで修理する場所です。2009年にオランダで始まり、現在は世界2,500ヶ所以上で運営されています。Repair Cafe Fukuokaは、SWANOIRが運営するRepair Café International公認の修理拠点です。九州で唯一、日本に7つある公認拠点のひとつ。IoT機器の開発作業場で、壊れたモノを直しています。
A repair café is a place where you bring broken things to get them fixed. The concept started in the Netherlands in 2009 and now operates in over 2,500 locations worldwide. Repair Cafe Fukuoka is an official Repair Café International location operated by SWANOIR — the only certified location in Kyushu, and one of seven in Japan. We fix broken things in our IoT device development workshop.

Eバイク — E-bikes
Eバイクは、サービスが終了したVanMoofを中心に対応しています。旧VanMoof蘭本社とは正式な取引関係があり、オランダのネットワークを通じて純正パーツを調達しています。バッテリーの完全放電からの復旧や電子系統の診断など、一般的な自転車店では対応が難しい領域を扱っています。他社製Eバイクもご相談ください。
For e-bikes, we primarily work on VanMoof, having had an official business relationship with the company before its bankruptcy. We source genuine parts through our Dutch network. We handle battery recovery from deep discharge, matrix LED display disassembly repair, and electronic system diagnostics — areas most bicycle shops can't cover. We also accept consultations for other e-bike brands.

We have a mechanical watch repair specialist on staff, handling overhauls, parts replacement, and adjustments. We also accept smartwatch repair consultations.
家電製品 — Home Appliances
扇風機、トースター、ドライヤーなど一般的なものから、他で断られたものまで。
We handle everything from common items like fans, toasters, and hair dryers to things other shops have turned away.
来店について — Visit
「Cafe」という名前ですが、おしゃれなカフェではありません。IoT機器の開発作業場でやっています。工具と部品に囲まれた、ちょっと雑然とした空間です。お茶は出しますが、気が向いた時に抹茶を点てる程度です。
壊れたモノを持ち込んでいただく、予約制です。修理担当者が常にいるわけではないので、「時計の人に見てほしい」「Eバイクの担当者はいる？」など、ご希望がある場合は事前にご連絡ください。
来店の約8割が海外の方です。簡単な英語での対応はできますが、電話での英語対応は難しいスタッフもいます。メールでのご連絡が確実です。
Despite the name "Cafe," this isn't a trendy coffee shop. We operate in our IoT device development workshop — a slightly cluttered space surrounded by tools and parts. We serve tea, but only matcha when we feel like making it.
Bring your broken items in — reservation required. Not all repair staff are present every day. If you have specific needs, please contact us in advance.
About 80% of our visitors are international. We can handle basic English, but email is more reliable than phone for English communication.

基本的に作業費は無料です。以下の費用がかかる場合があります。

- Eバイクなど専用機器を使用する修理（別途ご相談）
- 海外からの部品取り寄せ（送料・手数料含む）
料金が発生する場合は、必ず事前にご相談します。
Labour is generally free. You may be charged for:
- Replacement parts (at cost)
- Repairs requiring specialized equipment such as e-bikes (quoted separately)
- Parts sourced from overseas (including shipping and handling)
We always discuss costs before proceeding.
なぜIoT開発会社が修理をしているか — Why We Do This
SWANOIRはEV充電器やIoTデバイスを開発している会社です。リペアカフェの運営は、この本業の技術を別の形で使っている活動です。
VanMoofの修理は、破産前の正式な取引関係から始まりました。サービスが終了した後も、オランダ本国とのつながりを活かして純正パーツを調達し、修理を続けています。EV充電インフラ事業で使っているバッテリー診断技術が、そのままEバイクのバッテリー修理に使えます。
リペアカフェは世界に3つのタイプがあります。地域ボランティアによるコミュニティ型、カフェが集客イベントとして開催する型、そしてIoT企業が技術リソースを部分的に解放する型。Repair Cafe Fukuokaは3つ目です。オランダ本国ではWD-40やフィリップスなどの企業が技術提供する形が広がっており、私たちはそのスタイルに最も近い日本の拠点です。
SWANOIR develops EV chargers and IoT devices. Repair Cafe Fukuoka is a way of applying that core technology in a different context.
Our VanMoof repair work started through an official business relationship before VanMoof's bankruptcy. Even after services ended, we continue sourcing genuine parts through our Dutch connections. The battery diagnostic technology we use for EV charging infrastructure transfers directly to e-bike battery repair.
Repair cafés worldwide operate in three models: community volunteer-based, café-hosted events, and technology companies partially opening their resources. We're the third type. In the Netherlands, companies like WD-40 and Philips provide technical support to repair cafés — our approach is closest to that model in Japan.
修理カルチャーの現地から — From the Ground
2024年、オランダ・ハーグで開催されたRepair Café International 15周年イベントに招待され、参加しました。
現地では、ヨーロッパの修理を取り巻く制度の変化が大きな話題でした。EUの修理権指令（Right to Repair Directive）が2024年に採択され、加盟国は2026年7月までに国内法化します。洗濯機、冷蔵庫、掃除機、スマートフォンなどの製品カテゴリで、メーカーに修理サービスの提供が義務づけられます。フランスでは2021年から「リペアスコア（indice de réparabilité）」が家電製品に表示されており、消費者が修理しやすさを見て製品を選べるようになっています。メーカー側でも、修理を前提とした製品設計が進んでいます。フィリップスは内部部品へのアクセスを容易にし、特殊部品を減らしたコーヒーメーカーを展開しています。
In 2024, we were invited to the Repair Café International 15th anniversary event in The Hague, Netherlands.
A major topic at the event was the shift in European repair regulation. The EU's Right to Repair Directive, adopted in 2024, requires member states to implement national legislation by July 2026 — mandating manufacturers to provide repair services for product categories including washing machines, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, and smartphones. France has displayed "repairability scores" (indice de réparabilité) on electronics since 2021, allowing consumers to choose products based on how fixable they are. Manufacturers are also designing products with repair in mind. Philips has developed coffee makers with easy access to internal components and fewer proprietary parts.

日本では「リペアカフェ」の名前を使ったワークショップイベントや、修理文化を題材にしたドキュメンタリー上映会などが広がっていますが、Repair Café Internationalに公認登録され、実際にモノを修理している拠点は限られています。
There are seven Repair Café International certified locations in Japan. Repair Cafe Fukuoka is the only one in Kyushu.
In Japan, the "repair café" name is increasingly used for craft workshops and documentary screenings, but locations officially registered with Repair Café International that actually repair things remain limited.
